Keelboat Courses

Keelboats are commonly known as “Yachts”.  The Keelboats we use to teach our Keelboat programs are 24 ft in length.   While learning to sail these boats you will have the Instructor on board with you and a maximum of 4 other students.  Roles interchange during the lessons so you will get to have a go in the various crew roles.

You are unlikely to swim whilst taking these courses but should you fall over board it is a pre requisite that you have basic swimming ability. 

We offer 3 different courses using Keelboats:

Ø      Introduction to Keelboats – a 12 hour program expecting you to have little or no experience on boats

Ø      Competent Crew – this is a more thorough Yachting Australia qualification.  The pre-requisite to attend this 12 hour course is Introduction to Keelboats

Ø      Introduction to Yacht Racing – this course will give you a better understanding of the intricacies of yacht racing and will increase your experience on board yachts.
