The Duty Officers are a voluntary section of the Club who act as hosts and hostesses to visitors, Members and their guests. We ensure that Members and visitors observe the Club rules and maintain a reasonable standard of behaviour whilst on the premises.
The Duty Officers attend the Club on a roster basis each Saturday and Sunday to welcome visitors and provide a friendly presence in the Club. This Section is open to any member who can spare some time not more frequently than once a month, to fulfil this very important role.
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of every alternate month in the Bridge at 1930. Alternative month's meetings are held in the Galley at 0830 on Sunday. Our Section also holds two social outings a year, which have proven a huge success.
We also assist the Flag Officers, Board of Management and all Sections of the Club whenever necessary. We have direct contact with the Harbourmaster via two-way radio should an emergency arise.
