The Fremantle Sailing Club’s Game Fishing Section is one of the State’s leading Game Fishing Clubs, and has a wide range of activities to cater for this exciting sport.
Fishing Clinics
Fishing Clinics are run regularly on “Success”, and are a great way for new members to get acquainted with the sport, and for others to pick up the finer points from the Sections more experienced exponents. A full programme is scheduled for 2011/12 held on the weekend before the Sections monthly general meetings. Weather permitting, the clinics are held on the weekend following the Section’s monthly general meetings.
The Tooltime Construction Blue Marlin Classic
Held over the Labour Day long weekend 3, 4 and 5 March 2012. This is the Sections 33rd Blue Marlin Classic. The Classic's Winning Team this year earns an invite to fish the World Championship in Costa Rica in 2013. The Interclub is now incorporated in the Blue Marlin Classic. Teams nominate the Club they will represent and the aggregated points from the top two Teams will be declared the Winner. Their names will be engraved on the Perpetual Trophy that is displayed at the Club.
Local Tournaments
