This nationally endorsed course has been designed to allow you to achieve your Senior First Aid Qualification (SFA) in one day instead of two.

The course deals with the provision of essential First Aid in recognising and responding to an emergency using basic life support measures.  The course will prepare you with the skills, confidence and qualifications to help you manage medical emergencies.  Marine based examples and scenarios will be used, where possible, to teach this material providing you with skills specifically tailored to deal with emergencies that may occur whilst on board a boat, and in more remote locations.  The Instructor will consider the resources you may have available to you onboard a vessel and the lines of communication available to seek outside medical assistance.

CPR Refresher Course

The CPR course is aimed at people who need to keep their First Aid certificate up to date.  CPR should be updated yearly.  You will learn the most up to date Australian Resuscitation Council techniques including hands on practice with an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). The courses are written and instructed by Paramedics, and are continually updated and modified to reflect the best current evidence based First Aid and pre-hospital techniques.  The Course funs for 3.5 hours.

Both program’s are conducted by Revive Emergency Medical Training on behalf of the Fremantle Sailing Club.  RMT is an Australian owned and operated company that specialises in First Aid Training in Perth and through out WA.  The trainers are qualified and accredited instructors who teach with a lively and informative style. They have extensive experience as Emergency Medical Technicians from frontline UK ambulance services and have UK & Australian ambulance qualifications.
