Marine Radio Operators Certificate Course

This course gives students the opportunity to study the material and sit the exam to obtain  a Marine Radio Operators Certificate of Proficiency (MROCP) or the VHF only version of the same.  The course fee includes a handbook and the examination fee.

Course content includes: 

·        Marine radio communication equipment

·        VHF and HF Radios

·        Use of radio in recreational vessels

·        Sea, search and rescue inAustralia

·        Emergency position indicating radio beacons

·        Operating procedure and practical experience for communications

·        Distress, urgency and safety communications

·        Digital selective calling

·        Communication with coast and limited coast station

·        Telegrams and other communications

Nominal duration of the course is 12.5 hours
