Tradesmen

Tradesmen are welcome to work on boats at Fremantle Sailing Club, however there are some requirements that need to be fulfilled prior to commencement.

As a private members’ Club, tradesmen only have authority to be on the Club premises at the invitation of a member to work on their vessel or if contracted by Fremantle Sailing Club (FSC) for official Club tasks.

It is expected that while working on the Club grounds that both Club members and their tradesmen will take full care and responsibility to ensure that their work practices do not cause damage to the Club, its property, or the property of any other person.

All companies employing tradesmen, or self-employed tradesmen, working on Fremantle Sailing Club premises, including working on member's craft, are to complete the Certification Agreement. It is a condition of entry to Fremantle Sailing Club premises that company tradesmen or self-employed tradesmen agree to abide by the Clubs conditions/rules (see Certification Agreement). The person signing the Certification Agreement agrees to its terms as a condition of entry. Those companies or tradesmen failing to complete the Certification satisfactorily will be refused permission to enter or work on the Club premises. In the case of a company it is important that the person who signs the certification agreement does so on behalf of the company, and not as an individual, and that he or she has the relevant authority to bind the company.

Liability
All tradesmen in accordance with State Government Legislation, must possess Third Party and Public Liability Insurance of a value no less that $10,000,000.00.
If you cannot provide this on request you may be asked to cease your work at Fremantle Sailing Club immediately.
