The objectives and functions of the Dinghy Racing Committee shall be to:

• Encourage members to participation the activities of the Dinghy (off the beach sailing craft) Racing Section.
  
  
• Foster the recruitment and training of juniors within the section.
  
  
• Promote improved skills in all aspects of dinghy racing.
  
  
• Ensure the orderly and efficient conduct of all dinghy racing events.
  
  
• Oversee the implementation of appropriate safety standards.
  
  
• Prepare a programme of events, sailing instructions and courses for consideration by Sailing Committee.
  
  
• Prepare a budget of income and expenditure, including the number and value of trophies, for consideration by Sailing Committee.
  
  
• Encourage the strongest possible Club representation in any interclub, interstate or international events or regattas that have been endorsed by Sailing Committee.
  
  
• Conduct annual summer and winter consistency and Championship series for each class of dinghy.
