The objectives and functions of the Offshore Racing Committee shall be to:
- Encourage members to participate in the activities of the Offshore Racing Section
- Promote improved skills in all aspects of offshore yacht racing
- Ensure the orderly and efficient conduct of all offshore yacht racing events.
- Oversee the implementation of the safety standards as prescribed by AYF.
- Prepare a programme of events, sailing instructions and courses for consideration by Sailing Committee.
- Prepare a budget of income and expenditure, including the number and value of trophies, for consideration by Sailing Committee.
- Encourage the strongest possible Club representation in any external competitions or teams events that have been endorsed by Sailing Committee.
- Conduct a Consistency Championship series for each class.
