We are a very active Section who aim to provide an environment in which Power boat owners and their families can share the pleasures of recreational boating and social activities as a group, where we can learn more about boating from the more experienced.
We organize boating activities most months of the year, and we utilize the services of the Fremantle Sailing Club Training Program for those who may be a little unsure about operating or maintaining their boat. We also have trophies for the most active members who participate in section events.
We hold well planned and publicized monthly meetings on the second Thursday of each month upstairs in the Club Stateroom at 7:30pm, after enjoying dinner together in the Galley from 6:00pm.
We have weekend boating trips away to places like Mandurah, Mindarie, Hillary's, South Perth and Rottnest Island, and day trips up river or across to Garden, Rottnest and Carnac Islands. We also arrange weekend or meal visits to other Yacht Clubs. These trips are suitable for both small and larger power boats. For the more adventurous, some Power Section members also joins the Cruising Section on their annual trip to Quindalup after Christmas. Other social activities include wine tasting, dinners, a mid-winter off-water getaway, and an annual Christmas party.
What a great way to use your boat on such excursions as part of a power fleet and with friends who have been there before.
Come and enjoy the fellowship and meet new friends. Your First Mate will be guaranteed a good time as well.
