Sixteen competitors took to the water last Saturday in the FSC North Sails Championship Race 7 / Consistency race 16. Conditions were good for racing with a steady 10-15 knots southerly and no sign of the forecast storms.
The last of the big races for this season and at the top end of the Siska series points there was everything at to race for with only 1 point separating Dirty Deeds and GiddyUp, both vying for that top spot after a long and somewhat hard season.
A strong south-south-westerly sea breeze (gusting to 24 knots) created exciting sailing conditions for the FSC Inshore fleet in the Max Shean Trophy last Saturday. The race commemorates the life of Max Shean, who is remembered as a decorated WWII submariner and winner of the 1979 Parmelia Race (from the UK to Fremantle) on his S&S34 Bluebell.

Fremantle Sailing Club is offering FREE hardstand (LIFT FEES & WASH FEES APPLY) to a limited number of members (via ballot) if they lift their boats out for the winter and make their pen available to the visiting competitors who will be here to participate in the Inshore and Offshore Winter Series.
