Thirteen competitors braved rough and windy weather for the FSC Inshore Section’s Australia Day non-consistency race. The long motor-sail (or beat) to the start at Y gave sailors the measure of the conditions with at least one boat recording 30 knots over the deck. Several boats reefed, with Pipedream III and Valkyr putting in two reefs each.

The 3 Ports Race was a 130 nm Race from Fremantle south to Cape Bouvard, north to Yanchep via Cape Vlamingh and then back to Fremantle. It was a reinvigorated race into the offshore calendar, with a slightly changed format, and 17 yachts entered the race.
Perfect conditions brought out eighteen boats from three different clubs to contest the FSC Inshore Section’s Mike Harvey Memorial Race last Saturday.
A strong fleet of twenty-three boats set sail last Saturday for the FSC Inshore Section’s first race of 2018. Conditions were almost perfect with a consistent 14 knot South-South-Westerly sea breeze and sunshine.
