Labour Day Long Weekend
28th February to 2nd March
A complete briefing for skippers and crew will be held at the Fremantle Sailing Club on Friday 28th February 2020 commencing at 1900hrs sharp. Attendance is compulsory for all vessels participating in this tournament. Supper will be supplied.
An official Sail Past to commence the tournament will be held at 0745hrs on Saturday 29th February at a position just north of the North Mole for an 0800hrs start.
Sat 29th February | 0800 – 1800hrs
Sun 1st March | 0600 – 1800hrs
Mon 2nd March | 0600 – 1600hrs
All fishing to take place within a maximum 75 nautical miles of Success Harbour or within your vessels’ maximum radio range on channel 81
Boat Captains requiring pen facilities are requested to contact the Tournament Director. Allocations of pens at Rottnest Island will be ON THE BASIS OF FIRST COME FIRST SERVE AND ONLY ACCEPTED WHEN A NON-REFUNDABLE PAYMENT OF $60 PER NIGHT HAS BEEN RECEIVED.
Boat Launching Facilities
The Fremantle Sailing Club boat ramp will be available to all trailer boats competing in the event. For more information contact the Tournament Director.

Presentation Dinner & Results
The Tournament Presentation dinner will be held on the evening of Saturday 7th March, commencing with pre-dinner drinks at 1900hrs followed by dinner and announcement of results. This year the event will be on the Sunset Deck at FSC. ADDITIONAL TICKETS FOR NON-ANGLERS WILL COST $37.50 PER PERSON.
$200 per angler, FREE for junior Anglers (under 16 years of age). Entry includes a tournament shirt, finger food and light refreshments at the briefing plus tickets to the presentation dinner. A discount incentive of $50 to any BMC first time participants.
There must be a minimum of TWO and a maximum of SIX anglers per boat.

Fremantle Sailing Club – Game Fishing Captains Message
On behalf of the Game Fishing Section of the Fremantle Sailing Club, I extend a warm welcome to all participants to the 2020 41st Fremantle Sailing Club Blue Marlin Classic. The event will be held over the Labour Day Weekend 29th Feb to the 2nd March 2020.
Now in its 41st year, the tournament director Brian Arnett and committee members, have put together an event to surpass all previous years in providing participants a first – class event with a significant prize pool being offered. We would again like to take this opportunity to thank all of our sponsors and wish everybody an enjoyable and successful tournament. The Fremantle Sailing Club Blue Marlin Classic 2020 is a WAGFA sanctioned event.
