Dear Members,

Further to the latest announcement by Prime Minister Scott Morrison, it is now mandatory for all licensed premises of Clubs to close as of 12 noon, Monday 23rd March 2020.

This means that the Galley Restaurant, Sailors Bar, and all Function Rooms are now closed until further notice for the purpose of any event or indoor gathering.

Our understanding of these new requirements is that takeaway food is currently still permitted, so for the time being the Club Kiosk will continue to offer coffees, cold drinks, sandwiches, light snacks and even packaged beverages for takeaway consumption. Very limited seating will be available in the Sunset Deck area, but we remind everyone of the social-distancing requirements of 2m between you and others. If this requirement is not adhered to, all outdoor furniture may be removed.

The following areas of the Club will remain open at this stage:

Club Kiosk – 7 days a week, 8am – 3pm

Club Administration Office – Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

Works Area – Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 4pm

Harbour & Marina Office – 7 days a week, 8am – 5pm

Youth Sailing – limited courses will be provided, but subject to change at short notice]

Keelboat Sailing – please check the Club website for regular updates on upcoming races as these will be subject to change. We are hoping to continue with the Consistency races as well as the very popular “Cock of the Rock” race but there will definitely not be any post-event gathering or presentation.

Let’s hope this very challenging time is for the shortest period possible, but above all, we must ensure the safety and well-being of all our members, volunteers & staff.

Once again, we appreciate your understanding and co-operation as we manage our Club and facility through this difficult time and thank you for your continued support.
