Fremantle Sailing Club Twilight sailing
Wednesday 8 November 2017
Sixteen boats and fifty-five people took advantage of a gap between the storm clouds to do one lap of course three in Wednesday’s second twilight of the season. A light breeze from the SW soon died to a fitful easterly and competitors were glad of the shortened course.
The storm clouds out to sea and ashore created a dramatic backdrop and a stunning sunset.
Max Shean did start boat duty and after minor trouble at the end of the race was brought in by Finistere.
Skippers, crew, and guests regrouped in the Clubhouse where Finistere took the first bottle of wine at presentations (thanks to her support role) with Dirty Deeds taking the second bottle and Irene the third – both welcome additions to the 2017/18 Twilight fleet.
