CORONAVIRUS UPDATE (17/03/2020)

The approach Fremantle Sailing Club Management Team is taking to all events, large or small, is to ensure good hygiene practices are maintained. Please follow:

  • Handwashing is critical – hot soapy water is as good, if not better than the hand sanitisers;
  • Close monitoring of all event attendees (all ages) re sore throat, coughing, runny nose – should be sent home;
  • As per State Government advice, anyone arriving from overseas must self-isolate for a period of 14 days and seek medical clearance. Otherwise they will not be permited on Fremantle Sailing Club premises.

Terry Fisher Series 2019-20

Out on the East Winds, Home on the West Winds

Want to train up your crew by racing in a not so serious Series? Maybe you want to ditch your crew one Sunday a month and sail shorthand? Perhaps you don’t want to bother with a spinnaker at all but you still want to race?
The Terry Fisher Series allows you to explore different styles of Category 6 coastal racing beyond the club markers one Sunday a month starting in December.

SAVE THE DATES
Race 1 | Dec 8th (Opening Party)
Race 2 | Jan 12th
Race 3 | Feb 9th
Race 4 | Mar 15th
Race 5 | Apr 19th
Race 6 | May 3rd (Closing Party and Series Presentations)

This year 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes (both YAH and IRC) are provided by our sponsors in collaboration with The West Winds Gin, a champion award winning West Australian distillery. The West Winds Gin will also be hosting an opening and closing party in their infamous dinghy bar.
We can’t think of a better way to honour Terry’s impact on sailing than to get yachties out sailing on an easterly Sunday morning breeze and having a drink in the bar afterwards.

Sailing instructions are in the FSC Red Book! (Please see the Change to SI’s below)
