Before making a booking, please note the following:

To make a booking for a course, an Australian Sailing (AS) Number is required for each participant.

School Holiday Sailing Program

Looking for a fun activity for your child to spend their time throughout the school holidays?

Joining a holiday sailing program is the perfect way to spend time with new friends and exploring our sailing background!

Our program is focused on having fun and learning the basic sailing skills.
The week involves sailing on small ‘Opti’ dinghies. Over the week the kids will complete and become accredited in the Australian Sailing course “Start sailing 1”

This four-day course will run Tuesday to Friday for a total of 16 hours.
Each day will commence with a safety briefing with our team of experienced instructors.
The session will end at Midday with a brief discussion on what was learned.

On the final day of the program the participants will go on an adventure sail out to experience the joys of stunning Indian Ocean.

Mid-term Sailing Courses

Sailing courses throughout the school terms are focused on introducing new skills and progressing through the Discover Sailing pathway. The Australian Sailing national program “Dinghy Sailing” is a tiered program that allows kids to learn in levels with peers at similar skill levels. Lessons are held on Saturday mornings throughout the school term.

Over four weeks the kids will complete and become accredited in the learn to sail program Start Sailing 1.
Kids can expect to partake in fun sailing related games and activities, meet new friends, and learn more about sailing a dinghy in a safe environment.

Sessions commence with a safety briefing with instructors and other course participants. Once all of the sailors have a lifejacket fitted, and have their boats and equipment ready, they will leave the launching ramp and head out to a safe sailing area to begin activities.

If your child already has some beginner sailing experience (such as a holiday course) they are not required to do this course. They can join straight in with Green fleet training.
